Apple Next Move To Distribute Signed Baseband With Fixed Vulnerabilities, Get GPS But Loose Unlock in iOS 5?

We have recently come across a tweet from @i0n1c, one of the popular iOS hacker who predicts that next move of Apple would be to distribute a signed BaseBand with fixed vulnerabilities. It means that if you try to unlock your iPhone 4 on iOS 5, you would loose GPS. Apple is trying to interconnect some important features of iPhone with the BaseBand of your device. These vulnerabilities would remain fix and might take sometime to find the solution.

If you want your iPhone 5 or iPhone 4 to remain unlocked, you may require to loose GPS feature. It seems that it is a smart move from Apple to kill unauthorized software unlocking around the world. However, we are not pretty much sure about the consequences because it is only a part of prediction. So, impact could be tad different. There is no doubt that this cat and mouse game will last long. DevTeam should have known about these problems. @i0n1c released an untether JailBreak which lasted even after three consequent software release from Apple. Our fingers are crossed.
